This course covers everything you need to know about infant massage.

Massage techniques are taught in stages so that you can practice at home and come back each week with any questions.

What’s included in this course:

Appropriate oils to use on babies & children

Permission sequence

Contraindications

Strokes for the legs and buttocks

The importance of being relaxed during massage

Benefits of baby massage

Reading your baby’s body language

Recognising baby’s daily cycle and the best time to massage

Nurturing the parent-baby bond

Strokes for the abdomen and chest

Touch relaxation techniques

Developing massage strokes to suit your growing child

Strokes for the face, arms and back

Colic discussion and stoke sequence (also for wind & constipation)

Lymphatic drainage and flexibility exercises

Review of the full massage sequence Questions, evaluation & follow-ups

Duration:

Group classes – 1 hour per week, 4 weeks
